Diva Half Marathon

I haven't told many people about this partly because I'm scared to death and don't want to talk or think about it.

Somehow....... My friend Megan convinced/talked me into signing up for this...........

Divas North Myrtle Beach

I know, I know I have completely lost my mind. 13.1 miles. 13.1 miles. A half-marathon for someone who barely completes 5k's which are a measly 3.1 miles. What was I thinking?!?!
I still don't think reality has set in.

BUT
ON A POSITIVE NOTE....
It has motivated me to get off my butt and to the gym! And if I keep up like I have been the past couple of weeks, I will be ready for summer and swimsuits!!!!!!!!!

And maybe, if I look really good..... maybe, eventually, I can sport things like this to the gym.....

These were all found on etsy.
Here are some other cute and funny workout shirts.

Hello Springtime, Bye-Bye Winter

With the end of January being just a few days away, I am ready to start shopping for spring. I tend to spend the most $ on clothes in the spring and summer months because of all the different things you can wear (shorts, skirts, pants, dresses, etc) and all the fun, BRIGHT colors.

From what I can see navy and coral may be some of the hot colors this spring. Navy is one of my FAVORITE colors so I'm pretty stoked.

I've been browsing a bit. I try not to browse too much because then I tempted to splurge but here are some random cute things I came across today.

If I were skinnier, I would rock these.....
navy and polka dots?!? why, yes please!
Dot Mind Me Jeans-Navy

Cute Chevron top
I will probably being ordering this as soon as this post is published.
Happy Days Chevron Blouse-Turquoise

The Red Dress Boutique had a lot of CUTE items that are pretty reasonable that caught my eye. You just have to be quick, a lot of things I liked were sold out (that's probably for the best). So check it out.

I'm also loving this bright and fun chevron infinity scarf from Ann Taylor Loft.
Zig Zag Infinity Loop Fashion Accessories

Also, if I could rock it, I would totally own a peplum top or dress such as this one from Ann Taylor Loft.

That's it for this random "longing for spring" post. Happy Monday!!!!!!!

Meeska Mouska Mickey Mouse - Jon Parker's First Birthday

Last Saturday, was Jon Parker's first birthday party. His mom, Brooke, which happens to be one of my besties, asked for some help with the decorating. Of course, I was happy to oblige. Here are some pictures from the party. Either Brooke or myself made everything you see! Of course, Jon, her husband did all the woodworking (the sign and picture frame for the monthly pics)! We were pleased with how everything turned out! Enjoy the pics!

The theme was Mickey Mouse, which apparently is a popular theme for birthdays these days.

These were treat bags for the guests. Candy choices included Mickey's Meeska Mouska M&M's, Minnie's Kisses and Goofy's Dum Dums.

The party hats and the banner -
They party hats turned out very cute but I spent HOURS of my life on them! :)

Cute Harper was there and rocked her Minnie hat.

Colin also rocked his Mickey hat. His dad probably only agreed to let him wear it because it happens to be NC State colors.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY JON PARKER!

Here goes nothing.....

I love to read blogs. I stalk numerous blogs religiously. While I'm stalking these blogs, I often think about things/topics that I would like to blog about so here we are.

To start with I will give you a little bit of information about myself:
-I'm a 29 year old, single girl with the best family and friends a girl could ask for.
-I have a cute, miniature dachshund named Ginger whom I love.
-I'm a speech language pathologist by day but I dream of owning a boutique, craft shop, or wedding venue all day everyday.
-I love to craft and thanks to Briana, who introduced me to a new world of crafting, I stay broke.
-My blog name is derived from 2 of my obsessions. Chocolate is a consistent obsession but chevron is my new current obsession (I seriously buy everything I see that is chevron. Just ask Ginger, she is currently the proud owner of a red and pink chevron dog sweater).
-I am very random so I can't devote my blog to one particular thing or subject so just get ready for lots of randomness.

I think that is enough for now.

See ya soon,
Jennifer
